Our Bula is a fine, naturally gluten-free flour made from enset, the Ethiopian "false banana" plant. It is a traditional staple in southern Ethiopia, cooked into a smooth, filling porridge (bula genfo) or used to thicken soups and drinks. Mild in taste and easy to digest, it is a favourite for breakfast, for children and for anyone recovering their strength.

How to use: Whisk into water or milk and cook gently while stirring until thick and smooth. Serve with butter, honey or spiced tesmi.
